Description

FA-2 ACID STICKS are solid and water soluble, blended from a combination of non-ionic surfactants, corrosion inhibitor acid, dispersing, and sequestering agents. They aid in lowering of pressure in water injection wells. They also remove scale, rust, and emulsion blocks in oil, gas, and deep water disposal wells.

The surfactants in the FA-2 Acid Sticks act in a multi-functional way. They loosen heavy hydrocarbons, water wetting scale, and formation solids, allowing acid to attack scale deposits and iron oxide. FA-2 Acid Sticks are less aggressive and corrosive to steel pipe as most of the acid is released down hole.

Application:

FA-2 Acid Sticks reduce operating costs by eliminating or delaying the need for HCL Acid treatments. Injection pressures of several hundred psi often occur after using FA-2. Using FA-2 Acid Sticks on a continuous maintenance program can extend the time between major acid treatments.

Dosage:
Recommended initial treatment is 1 to 3 FA-2 Sticks per foot of interval. The time for the FA-2 Acid Sticks to fall to the perforations with the well shut in and fluid to surface is equal to depth of perforations divided by 110 (time in minutes = depth in feet divided by 110)

Packaging:

Available in 75-count ice chest. This will eliminate the sticks from warping and becoming soft. Smaller quantities are available, packaged in boxes.

Precautions:
No special handling or storage required. Avoid contact with eyes. In the event of contact with eyes, flush with large amounts of fresh water several times. Opening on containers should always be kept closed when not in use to prevent product contamination. DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY. FOR INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY.
